I Am Alive

Prison has changed my life in many ways. First and foremost I AM alive. In the 10 years I’ve lived this wrongful conviction almost everyone I ran with has died. I feel preserved to fulfill my Personal Legend.

I AM wrongfully convicted, yet this experience was not in vain. I see life altogether differently. My values has changed…. more so intensified. No longer skimming the surface of life. I AM a critical thinker. I AM accountable and responsible for my thoughts, actions, and deeds. I AM a warrior.
Prison has encased me in such a way that all I really had was me. Prison has shown me how harsh reality can be. The numerous letdowns, disappointments, and broken promises pierce my core. Then there’s the love and friendships bonded through the hopelessness of it all.

I made a conscious choice to evolve thru this experience. To grasp the lesson of why I’m here. Man said 32-50 years for Armed Robbery and 32-50 years for Assault. God said disobedience….. grasp the lesson and you’re free. I understand this truth….. 32-50 years I will not do.
Prison was my crossroad.
